Knoppix Linux 7.0.4 is Released
On August 27th of 2012, Knoppix version 7.0.4 was released. Knoppix Linux is a Debian-based live distribution with LXDE (Lightweight X Desktop Environment) as the default desktop environment. The latest version uses Linux kernel 3.4.9 and X.Org 7.7 (core 1.12.3). The live disc comes with an optional 64-bit Linux kernel boot option, "knoppix64." The APT database now contains provisions for the installation of Chromium 21.0.1180.75 and Iceweasel 10.0.6 but most importantly Gnome 3.4. Of coarse being Knoppix the normal automatic hardware detection and support for many graphics/sound cards and peripherals is present.
